How do you strengthen ties within a 1350-person company with 50 different nationalities in 30 countries? This was the conundrum that VO Event resolved for Alter Domus by creating a crazy concept: plunging the attendees into the atmosphere of a fashion show... on water! This unique event took two years to prepare and involved 406 organisers, one boat and 16 stages. On a three-day cruise from Genoa to Marseille, 91 teams coached by 30 pro stylists presented an “upcycling” fashion show using reused materials. The event we organised in Milan for Levi Strauss & Co was much more than a mere catwalk show; it expressed the brand’s identity and values, putting its people first. Directors took to the catwalk and team members’ photos were projected onto a big screen, with performances by the Hyphen Hyphen band, 20 dancers, and 50 dancer-models. When pharmaceutical group GSK bade farewell to its iconic boss Jean Stéphenne, VO Event created something spectacular yet intimate, exciting yet unexpected, with a gigantic gala dinner set against a simple yet breath-taking backdrop. Beneath an enormous olive tree, 108 artists played a sublime musical score that was both moving and restrained, just like the man it honoured.
